Sanogo should be the 3rd big on the roster. He rebounds and can finish. Just consistent every time out.

It's easy to see Phillips game fitting with the NBA roster. He's making his spot up 3, he's a good cutter, good defender, he's looking really solid without pressing. He struggles finishing through contact tho
.

Matas has a lot to like about his game. His confidence and aggression makes up for the bad shooting for now. He shot like shyt today (4-17) but still ended up with 5 steals and a block. Not sold on how good of a rebounder he is off of these SL games. The shooting is obviously the biggest swing skill for his upside. I think his rebounding activity will determine his floor tho.

he looked great, efficiency will come. his skillset at his size is outstanding. 100% passed the eye test
And he's got aggressiveness and the mentality where he wants to be that guy.

Man was calling out the guy that went #1 for ducking a 1 on 1 workout.

He's a project for sure.

His mentality is the inverse of Pat's. Fans won't be clamoring for Matas to shoot or be more aggressive, however, fans might get turned off if he's taking tough shots and bricking like crazy.

He's a highlight and he's fluid offensively but the shooting is a work on progress.

To me, his aggression on offense and shot blocking ability are NBA ready. His handle is good for a guy that size. His athleticism and just his coordination is there in a big way.

We knew the shot wasn't there when he was drafted. He also needs to rebound better, especially if they want him playing at the 4 long term

MY INITIAL QUESTION
WAS GOING TO BE
IS HE BETTER THAN LAURI?

Nah, Lauri in his rookie season was different. Probably just as athletic as Matas and a great shooter out the gate.

Matas has more on ball shot creation potential tho
