Word. I saw this white chick that I used to work with on there talking some stuff about "Justice was served" when George Zimmerman got off for Trayvon's murder. She lived not far from me and used to talk about meeting up at this local watering hole by where we lived for drinks. I stayed away from her after that, then when my homie at work who was cool with her came up to me on some "yo, Sharon is wondering if you had a problem with her", I showed him her FB post and he curved her too.

Lool funny, I have the exact same story. Used to talk to this white chick who was mega cool and polite, so it shocked me one day when i was looking at her twitter and she said something slick (basically racist) about obama. the post got deleted not too long after but i never talked to her after that.

The number one thing i hate is how people act like you cant leave facebook. Or you cant just delete your account or deactivate it. Like somebody is literally pointing a gun at your head saying you cant leave.

"I hate facebook but all my friends are on there..."
"But i need it for my work...."

Making endless excuses yet they still complaining about facebook...but they wont delete their account cause deep down they want to belong to this social media quagmire in one way or another and not feel like another brick in the wall.

There are even "i hate facebook" pages...on facebook. How ass backwards is that?

Just leave then...but they cant cause they weak willed.
Bu...bu...but I forgot my password so I can't delete it.:troll:

its a bit different if you work in tech my dude. i've literally been contacted countless times on linkedin. if it wasn't for countless recruiters reaching out to me through it, i would have deaded it a long time ago. i guess it's different from ppl in your field, whatever it is.

i feel you on "real life" networking, but its a bit of a crapshoot too. i spent a long time schmoozzing in my last year of uni and out of the countless ppl i talk to its only maybe 2 that i still talk to now and we are buddies. one of the guys i was i guess "using" to get a job, lost his job right about the time i got my full time job. so he is currently jobless and is finding it tough, but yoo he's such a nice guy, like we are totally buddies, it's none of that professional, stiff bs.
I see. Depends on industry I guess

Yeah...your bringing togethet "all" connections to one place is not the move .... your wild college friends and your home church members in the same platform 24 hours a day is not the best gumbo....if you give a shiit.
That's why you have 2 accounts. You put your nosey ass aunt and fam on one and your wild friends on another.Cats hustling backwards

Never created one, don't even have an account under any other major social site. It just never interested me, constantly moving, I never really cared for people anyways. There is nothing special about not having a social media account. You are going to be seen as a weirdo in most cases, and rightfully so. You can use social media to keep in contact with family, long distance friends, and you can even make connections that can further your career. The people that use Facebook to post their thoughts have a right to do so considering it doesn't breach the ToS and they probably do so to vent, we all need to vent. I won't judge people with Facebook because humans will always want to be social, here we are being social everyday on this website. Deleting or never creating a social media account doesn't place you above anyone, you will be the only one that thinks like that. Deleting a social account because you have become addicted to it and it is interfering with your real life is a completely different topic.

I'll explain.

Met this cute Japanese/Colombian chick off of OKCupid.
We hung out for a couple of days. Hit it off. Basically one night hanging out she got loopy off of LSD she took from my roomate at the time and I had to babysit her tripping ass.
The next day as my roomates are chilling she starts flipping out.
I told her she was no longer welcome to stay and she had to leave.
She said no.
Then I said, if you don't leave I'll call the cops.
Then she locked herself in my friend's room....and called the cops and said we tried to assault her.
me and my roommate had to pull her out of the room physically.
She tried to grab a knife and was swinging it at us.
In the end I physically had to pick her up and throw her out of my apartment.
I did and locked the door immediately behind her.

The cops came and I explained what happened.

She didn't get arrested but they told her she could not be inside my apartment/

Immediately after that I deleted my OKcupid account, my POF, my linkedin, my adultfriendfinder account, and my couchsurfing.org account.

It was such a bad experience I swore to never meet any woman off of the internet again.
