Every time an ignorant person says bicycling and public transit would never work in America like it does in Europe…

These alabama roads barely in good enough shape for us to roll cars on :mjlol:

I cant imagine trying to bike

Tuscaloosa gonna be even worse with how many people would be crammed together :scust:

Plus, you expect us to bike home late at night?

Gonna have to duck deer, wolves, coyotes, bears, cows, and skunks for hours just to get home:damn:

It’s not about history
People want to sit down & drive
They don’t want to use their legs

The other day I went to a store by foot & I bumped into an acquaintance. He noticed I was on foot & inquired.
I said I walked here, it’s like a 45 minute walk from home.
He freaked out, like FORTY FIVE MINUTES??????
he was telling me he would never walk that long.

People prefer comfort over very small minuscule effort!

Some people don’t want to take public transportation. I hated taking the train everyday. Sometimes, I drove into the city just to have some peace, and privacy in my car, and not be surrounded by people. Plus, it’s cold or really hot in some places. The hell I look like waiting outside at a station, or riding a bike.

:hhh:

Yeah, I’ve rode the bus at times in my life where I wasn’t stable and that shyt is the WORST.

If public transportation was better you would probably be more inclined to use it. I've spent over 20 years living in NYC and I as well hated taking the bus or train so I just drove. I have also spent a few days in Amsterdam and I gotta say the public transport is on an entirely different level. Not even gonna speak on bikes other than to say that bikes rule the city.

The future gonna punish my city even more for constantly giving in to the auto industry and to stay the ‘Motor City’ while motors are about to be obsolete. Losing out on Amazon HQ2 and not even being in the top 20 should’ve been the wake up call for real mass transit

How effective would that be carrying 8 32 count cases of bottled water, frozen meats, cases of cereal and much more? I shop once a month for a reason.
Ride share cars exist.
Rent a car.
You can’t even rent trucks from Home Depot for like $30.

And you get to save thousands of dollars a year in gas, car insurance and car note payments.

Hooray!
