Every now and then someone says Madvillainy was a classic. That album had no impact.

Damn son :gucci:

Your post doesn't make any sense as well. You like Madlib. But other than Fancy Clown's sample, you don't enjoy anything from those two?

Are you saying you don't even like most of the beats on Madvillainy?
:picard:

I couldn’t get into it. Meh. Madlib has a lot of projects and I try to pay attention to/find artists who he works with, but eh, too much to get through.

That earl sweatshirt quote is trash. It did not influence that generation like 36. It influenced ughh of his generation but 36 chambers is a whole nother level of influence that went commercial. There is a difference.

BUT. No ughh album has more juice. shyt went gold i think.

And dooms new fan base is intolerable the way they call him goat yet hes only older rapper in their lists of earlsweatshirts n tyler n joeybass n fly lo beung in their top 5. Shows they didnt go do their history and use doom as some real hip hop pass. Saw same with big L and dilla.

They love the idea of doom more than his music. Otherwise they'd fukk with a lot more rappers that are on dooms time; but they dont at all because they dont dress as doctor doom or sample cartoons and monster movies.
