what type of product you sell?
what type of product you sell?
I wanna keep that on the low
like I said, I'm an Afrikan immigrant working a minimum wage job so I dont fit the profile of a C.E.O
and with the nature of my product (it falls under the personal care, pharmaceutical arena)
my fear is that people are not going to buy my product if they know that its owned by me
that's one of the reasons why crowdfunding is a potential challenge for me
because in order to raise a successfull crowdfunding campaign,
the owner of the campaign usually must humanize his campaign by revealing himself to the public
and emotionally engage people by telling his story
but I can't do that...or atleast I dont think I can
Good looksI HAD to reply to this @D.C Young...
First of all, don't feel too bad. The loss of $ sucks really bad, but you sound like you have a way to possibly get it back.
To the people saying that Daymond gave sound advice, that's b.s. - Gary Vee gives 1000x better advice for free on Youtube, Twitter and snapchat, and tailors it so crisp for specific problems its crazy. And Gary Vee has hundred million dollar businesses as well, and a digital agency wth 600 employees lol.
Now, my biz partner, who is a well known young entrepreneur in Philly actually told me a similar story, which is crazy. He didn't pay for a one on one, but went to a book signing and speech, and said the speech was crazy wack because it was generic info, and when he talked to him one on one, he felt like dude was ignoring him and then started talking to someone else - and my biz partner is def not a lame dude in the slightest.
Here's what I say - if you serious about talking about your project, I got 30 minutes tomorrow late afternoon that you and I can talk about it on the phone. I co-run a creative agency, on the management team of a new product that just launched with a worldwide known celebrity, and done a few other things. I'm not saying I'm GaryVee or Daymond John, but I feel bad that that happened to you, and maybe I can give you 30 minutes of my time just to pay it forward.
PM me if you want to holla and we can set a time.

Damn, that really sucks. I'm sorry you were swindled, op. That $2000 would have been better spent as a stipend, for a marketing intern to promote your product for you.
Daymond has always seemed shifty to me. His net worth for years now hasn't been validated by any credible source. Of all the sharks he's easily the least rich, and he just postures as the diversity-hire "urban" blowhard.
What is your most immediate obstacle?
That happened to me before, too. Sometimes I get caught up in the moment, thinking that it's just coincidence, but its not. It's a sign of disrespect, every single time. Next time someone does me like that, I'm chalkin up the deuces and maybe not even my index finger. Dudes waste your time and then turn around and act like you're wasting theirs.LOL that's exactly what he did to me man....I couldn't believe it bruh LOL
dude was looking out the window while I was talking lol, yawning

Bruh.. with all due respect that's a stupid ass question.wow you speculating bruh
before the meeting, they made me fill out a DETAILED questionaire about my business
and here's one example of a rebuttal question that I had for him after he told me that I should re-engage all my
customers that didn't reorder my product :
"I dont want to have to CONVINCE a customer to re-order my product, how do I GET TO A POINT,
where a customer is going to FEEL NATURALLY COMPELLED to re-order my product?"
so if you analyze this question, that tells you allot about my mindstate during the meeting,
not only was I there to learn, I EVEN respectfully CHALLENGED DAYMOND by rebutting his point
stop making negative assumptions
