Dude charging $4,000/hour should have been a red flag. I'm not even sure what you were expecting. It was just a 30 minute conversation, not like he did any research prior. You could hire a real consulting firm for less than that.
With that said, don't listen to the naysayers, plenty of successful business people are willing to help you out, even if they aren't invested in your company. But they won't charge a flat fee for it, it has to be organic. Your complaints is like complaining you didn't find a girlfriend when you hired an escort.

For $2,000? Not much more than what you got.
It's not as though he has any equity in your company, or you were some known entity that he studied, or you even had enough time to go in depth. And it's not as though he gave you BAD advice, he gave you GENERAL advice... and really, that's what business is.
What kind of secrets did you expect? There isn't any secrets to success in business, it's just about you getting it done.

I was going to suggest this. My uncle does this. He has to make bids for contracts and he he brings white people in the meetings with him and gives them these fake titles and what not.
As long as your business doesn't rely on too much that's digital/online I'd recommend them.
