Our defense is getting killed by Case Keenum and our much-hyped offense can't get anything going. :mjlol:

So, some Week 1 thoughts:

That first half was atrocious all around. Play-calling, the O-Line, general offensive execution, and that secondary. Getting lit up by Case Keenum? :scust: Slow starts on offense were a problem all last season, and Doug and Groh need to fix that up. No more dumbass screens to Sproles, please.

But it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. :yeshrug: And the Eagles finished as best as you could. The O-Line tightened up in a big way. Granted, they got some help from Jonathan Allen going down to a knee injury. But still… I didn’t hear Kerrigan’s name all game. Wentz was a stud. Not one – but two! – deep bombs to DJax, accurate passes all around (71% completion rate), three TD passes, shredding Washington’s secondary. It was damn good. Gotta keep it up next week against Atlanta.

Defense also tightened up in the second half. Secondary played a little better, but it CANNOT be this bad against the Falcons in Week 2. Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Mohammed Sanu, Calvin Ridley, etc. on the road? That’s a fukking blowout right there. Really lucky they were playing Keenum and a bunch of rookie WRs this week. Not gonna be the case next week.

Defensive line started slow, woke up. But Malik Jackson going down is not good. Need Hassan Ridgeway and Tim Jernigan to step up. Also – hope to God that Jackson’s injury isn’t serious.

Also, feel bad for Nick. Was really looking forward to seeing him lead a team. :mjcry:

DeSean really restored the feeling :mjcry:

my son Carson was moving free without that knee brace, didn't expose himself too any unnecessary hits but still broke their backs buying himself time :wow:

back on our 2017 shyt churning out 10+ minute drives to ice 4th quarter leads :blessed:

I have a theory on this Jim Schwartz defense.

I think his coverage scheme requires a rangey LB that can close space fast and carry receivers for a long time on routes designed to pull zone defenders short. We haven't had a guy like that since Mychal Kendricks. Kendricks wasnt the greatest but he did chase down a lot of shyt and he got to the flats quick.

Im hoping Kamu can be that guy with his speed.

We also had Patrick Robinson during that superbowl run but let me be a smart dumb fan real quick.
