I just dropped a game thread but I dont have the roll call list to alert yall
fukk a jinx, that's how I felt all 2017 for the first time in my football watching life. A super bowl came of it, so I'm feeling the same way this year. The players will have to make liars out of me all season before I go back to that "just being hopeful" kind of fan I used to be.
Everyone can and will get it. No exceptions. All blowouts are on the table.
I think the Eagles win, but I don’t see a blowout here. The offense hasn’t played much together in the preseason and might be rusty against a really scary Redskins defensive front. Plus, it’s an NFCE divisional game and those are almost always competitive. Something like 24-17 is what I’m thinking.
Like I said before, it’s all coming down to the trenches. Can Peters, Seumalo, Kelce, Brooks, and Johnson hold off Kerrigan, Payne, Allen, Sweat, and Ioannidis? If so, then we’re good. Norman will shadow Alshon, the Redskins secondary will have to pay extra attention to DJax, and that’ll open things up for Ertz and Goedert (also - checkdowns and screens to Sanders and Clement?). Wentz should have a very good day. But it comes down to the offensive line and they’ll have a challenge.
