:what:

The season correlates with when they would be playin in the champions league this is exactly why UEFA is pushin back on this so much

Same way u sayin bandwagon fans, fans that are traditionalists are jus scared of sumthin new

UEFA and FIFA really got yall brained washed, same gov bodies who fix matches and let black get abused are preaching to u about integrity of the game don’t be fooled by em

Are these orgs really that corrupt? To what extent do u think this reputation is going to hurt them during any negotiations?

I say that bc this move kinda looks like one party trying to exert leverage for future negotiations.

the players better wise up too because these nfl owners aren't trying to setup a closed league to treat you right. they'll treat you just like nfl players once they become the only game in town.

What kind of protections etc do they currently have? I honestly don;t know.

For all his social activism work (and rightful praise), LeBron is slowly becoming a guy who regularly chooses the side of money and fellow billionaires if he doesn't speak out against this. He owns only 2% but he has the platform to speak out against the others plus he could let himself get bought out.

I like LeBron but he basically turning into Oprah. Using race issues and making some symbolic moves like opening schools to build your rep but slowly becoming the establishment by prioritizing making money and becoming part of the elite. :francis:

But I know this board thinks becoming a billionaire is uplifting your people and choosing equality over wealth is c00ning.:unimpressed:

Breh, there are no easy/clean ways of acquiring power. In the beginning you have to do whatever it takes to get in unfortunately.

The origins/birth of power and wealth is almost always rooted in behavior that in retrospect appears immoral etc.

Kennedys were bootleggers.
Rockefellers/Bill Gates/Bezos are monopolists
Zuckerberg is destroying our political systems
Tech companies destroyed our privacy
Walmart destroyed Main Street
Sugar, oil and fruit companies destroyed democratically elected governments
Many Italian/Irish owned businesses today are/were mob fronts

So long as they are doing more good than bad AND using their money and power to benefit the Black community, we shouldn't demand ppl like Lebron meet standards that others were never held to.

Lebron being politically active on issues affecting Black ppl in the US does not create a responsibility to speak out against any and all injustice everywhere.

I do not say this callously but why are ppl demanding Lebron do something about Chinese treatment of Uighurs when the US and just about every other powerful nation in the world has known about it for years and did nothing?

What does Lebron owe to European soccer fans? This is their league. If something like this is happening it's because of decisions made in Europe.

Imma keep my thoughts to myself. No point in trying to explain the evils of this to this forum frequented by mostly Americans who simply do not understand, respect, or care about the game of football.

Burning my Manchester United jerseys later today.

I don't know shyt about european football league politics. Is the impact on the smaller teams your biggest concern/criticism of this plan? Do you think this move is going to be interpreted by fans etc as an effort by foreigners to take over european football? These clubs are obviously very sophisticated/connected organizations - there's no way they didn't do due diligence (market research etc) esp w/ respect to how this would be received by fans. Or maybe there's just so much money at stake they don't care and think ppl will eventually accept?

This is literally anti competition but ok.

No it isnt. Having the big clubs go at it is the perfect competition. I know u weridos like having mid tier teams to compete for some feel good story (ie Liecester City). But that shyt is rare and they would be a bottom 3 vs top competition.

Theres nothing competitve about a small club team beating a big club team once every 6 games :comeon:

No one fukking cares about those bottom dwellers
