We did. As long as they make consoles, Nintendo and Sony will release games exclusive to their consoles. It's how they sell consoles.

:manny:
Sony has pretty much abandoned console exclusive games. Their releases have an exclusive window but usually end up on PC. I honestly believe at some point they'll realize that the overlap in gamers that own an high end PC and want to play their games on PC and people who game on consoles isn't worth worrying about and just do day and date on both platforms. The typical console player is not trying to build a PC and do all that work to play games.

BRB gonna boot up Tears of the Kingdom on a non-Nintendo platform. Opps, turns out it's a Nintendo platform exclusive.
Yall said this exact same thing when i said uncharted would come to PC. :wow:

Don’t worry I will BRB when the internet gets mad at the idea that switch 2 will launch with zero exclusives

Playstation has already given up on “games exclusive to their consoles”

And nintendo already flirting.

There’s more people playing Sony and Nintendo software on outside platforms than their actual consoles right now.

Reality doesn’t fit your stanary. That ain’t my fault :manny:

Negative. Exclusivity periods sell consoles. They're not going to give that up for a few million PC sales. Take Spider Man 2 for an example.

Your argument is a logical fallacy. Someone was wrong somewhere else therefore they're always wrong.

The fact is day one the hype is at it's best. Video games sell the most out of the gate at release. If you stagger releases you cost yourself sales at that high price. Once you make people wait they can keep waiting. If you make me wait a year to play your game why can't I just wait longer and get it at a deeper discount?

There's a whole host of PC gamers that had to wait and keep waiting after it's released for a sale. As a video game company you want people acting with undisciplined approach to the purchase. If your business model forces discipline that's a mistake.

Day one hype gets people to buy Consoles. We literally watched NCAA move MILLIONS of consoles earlier this year. It was the best selling game of the year on consoles.

Spiderman moved consoles for PS. You talk about costing sales of a game, they're thinking abut sales of consoles.

Why go into the business of selling tires, when you can sell the whole car.

People also get the wrong idea of thinking sony is mainly a publisher and not a platform holder that makes most of it money through its store front. Why would they want to move people to a store they don’t make money from.

a lot of non thinking on this forum this past console generation. It’s also why none of them predicted xbox being in teh situation they’re in now. They literally thoguht gamepass was gonna take over the planet for the past 4 years 😂

The most played games on PlayStation are games also available on PC and other platforms. That doesn't harm their sales. People have a platform preference and availability isn't going to change it.

There isn't going to be this huge exodus on the platform when the most played games are available everywhere.

Sony (Hiroki Totoki) even specifically said during an investor conference call that despite there being pushback to the PSN login on pc that they will continue to do it even if it loses sales. If a company like Sony were desperate for PC sales, why would they put up so many roadblocks to people buying their games on there?

to SIE at the moment the data collection is far more important than the additional sales on pc. God of War Ragnarok sold 15 million copies at full price on PS before it went to pc, their sales on steam are peanuts outside of Helldivers 2.
