I just saw excerpt about 100,00 Ethiopians being deported back to Ethiopia from Saudi Arabia. These are some of the same people who'll look down on their West African brothers and feel more aligned with Arabs. I just hope that many will come to realize the solution isn't always running away to some white/Arab country. The solution is fixing problems at home first.

Calm down bro. I didn't say all Ethiopians thought this way. But you can't deny that some do practice bigotry against west Africans. My sister in law is Ethiopian and I've seen this first hand. If anything I respect you Ethiopia more than I do any other African nation or people's. Ethiopia has a rich and honorable history. They resisted imperialism when other Africans stood down. So given the history of Ethiopia, I can almost understand where this feeling of superiority comes from. However, as much as respect I do have for Ethiopia I find it dishonorable and cowardly to move away from the home country. I have even less respect for those already educated and can provide so much to their own people and their homeland.

I ain't mean to come at chu so strong but I been seeing a lot of people make sweeping generalizations off interactions with a few. But your right, some had bigoted views towards other black people in general and believe me just like I had something to say to you I really got something to say to them too its a problem. My mom told me a story of a collegue who's West African and he had an Ethiopian girlfriend for the longest and she left him to marry an Ethiopian man cuz she felt like her parents would disapprove cuz her now ex boyfriend of many years was too dark and had a wide nose, one of my uncles is Portuguese and got those features so my aunts hated him cuz they felt like my aunt was too beautiful for that. So yeah, its a problem mainly cuz Ethiopia practiced slavery(mind you African slavery is wayy different from that of the West) until the early 20th century so stereotypes still linger til this day. Regardless of that I agree its very dishonorable to me, I was just discussing this earlier with @Elle Driver Ethiopians can be strange with that superiority complex sometimes. Even the whole being around white people thing, its no different from any other African....its sambo shyt tryna get closer to the wealth.

Leaving the country however isn't a bad thing cuz the country is pretty fukked up. We paid a price for independence, not to mention when faggit ass Europe finally decided to do what they were suppose to do as L.O.N. members they destroyed all the factories which further fukked up what little industry was there. So given how bad it is its not wrong to me for people to leave, its really sad but I can't blame anyone for tryna survive. Remittance helps a lot of families back home and the thing is most move back and start businesses in the country anyway. If you can make it to one of these wealthy countries and get that money to send back or start a business then that's the move.
