Ethan Strauss (KD's enemy): CAA is problly colluding with ESPN and the Knicks to get Zion outta N.O.

Y'all had two winning seasons in 7 years with a generational talent. :mjlol:

What did the Pelicans not do?

Anything. Y'all didn't do anything.

And the moves being made around Zion right now :dahell:

Don't be mad at players for the failures of terrible ownership and leadership.

Remember when y'all had the ten pick the same draft y'all had the #1 pick and used it on Austin Rivers?

Y'all fumbled AD the very night the NBA put him in your hands.

Ehhh if we're being honest the Pelicans are making the same mistake now that they did with AD in rushing the process and mortgaging the future just to win now.

People also tend to overlook the fact that Jrue was injured quite frequently early into his Pelicans tenure and still dealt with injuries the majority of his tenure there.

Same issue they had until at least this season they didn’t put a team around him he wouldn’t have to carry. They actually have better fitting pieces around Zion than they ever had around AD.

Again, none of ya'll talking about the moves we should've made. I never said New Orleans built a title contender around Anthony. Again, it's easy to play the same narravtive about teams you never follow after the star player leaves.

Maybe he could've started by playing more than 60 games a season, on average. He gave Omer Asik a bag so AD wouldn't have to play Center--that year he played 68 games and missed almost a month of the season around the All-Star.

We had Tyreke evans (16, 6, 6), Ryan Anderson, Eric Gordon (this nikka dogged it most his time in NO) and Jrue Holiday on the team that year. Ya'll talk about Jrue liek he's prime GP nowadays

Yea, the Solomon Hill thing was crazy and we should've drafted better (Like not trade Noel for Austin Rivers).

What else do you have? I'm tired of ya'll who don't watch us, talk about us.

I'm right there with you. If we built the team through the draft, THEN traded for DeMarcus, he stays healthy, AD stays, were playoff contenders for a couple years to come.

AD doesn't get the shyt D-Rose for not "making calls" for people to come down here

shyt didn't work out.

But, the dumb ass trades and overpaying for players hurt us.

Even if Zion got hurt he’d still get a bag. Case in point Kawhi this off-season

Again, bias.

He's worth a bag on the open market, but, he was the flying buffalo for the first half of his career. :mjlol:

We gotta deal with Zion getting hurt before his first season started, the COVID craziness, the scared moves to get him in the playoffs, the scared front office that don't want us to play him more than 9 mins (Gentry deserved to keep his job after that bullshyt)...

...then when he leaves "Ya'll didn't do enough to keep him :yeshrug:"

:laff: I hate sports
"Fans" love “super teams”.

Fixed for you.

Mah'fukkas like Los Pollos TV that didn't start watching basketball til 2006 love superteams

To be fair, I think it's WAY too soon to judge what they're doing with ZIon. The fact of the matter is that they're a rebuilding team 2 years in and that's too slow for a league that's betting the house on Zion. Memphis is being afforded a patience with Ja that nobody wants to give the Pelicans because nobody wants the Pelicans to attempt to grow a brain. Griffin was betting on Giannis doing what everyone else does and leave and he didn't, so that's burned their future assets.

The biggest problem facing NO aside from what I just said is that for all the talent and picks they got from the Lakers and Bucks, none of it seems to fit around Zion well, especially Ingram and those assets have turned into glorified 2nd round picks.

The exact reason why pick swaps are the most overrated, glorified trade chips currently in the league as they are rather useless when it's all said and done.

The team he has around him this year is easily a playoff talented team. If they struggle to make it this year there is a major problem.

You dont miss the playoffs when you surround a 30 point scorer with shooters and defenders, that shyt is damn near a playoff guarantee :yeshrug:

AD had to go to Lebron and ya’ll never made moves to put someone like Lebron around him.

:yeshrug:
Everyone you mentioned were great third and fourth pieces on other teams when they were in winning situations.

:manny:
You can justify it how you want but in real time no one thought NO was trying to build a contender around AD seasons before he actually left. Griffin is overrated AND comes off like an a$$hole but at least he understand you got to go for it. When NO looked at Randle to Cousins during the height of the Warriors era to be second options to AD it was clear ya’ll was black girl lost status as far as team construction goes.

I like the young talent and I really want them to give Kira Lewis more run.

The West is still crazy though. Hard to see who took a major dive from last year to now outside of maybe the Spurs.

I still got hope for them because Trajan Langdon knows how to find players.

Even they're gonna be in the hunt for a play-in spot because you expect Ja to improve and for JJJ's sake he needs to stay healthy. The Grizz have one of those teams where even if they suck, they won't be at the absolute bottom because they have so many high floor players. Ziaire Williams is one of the first players I've seen them swing for the fences on.

Yea man, why didn't the Pelicans just sign a top 5 all-time superstar to carry AD??? :ohhh: I'm sure that would've made them so much better... how come no one but you ever thought of that??? :ohhh::ohhh::unimpressed: How fukking stupid do you have to be to type shyt out like this unironically and think you actually have a point?? :mindblown: Jesus christ the idiots on here and your worthless takes get stupider ever day, it's sickening. :scust: If the Pels could be the worst team in the entire league for 7 years straight and still be able to sign a player like LeBron in free agency... they fukking would have retard. :what: The problem is only big market teams like the Lakers and Knicks can suck at absolutely everything for 10-20+ years and still have stars want to play for them. Every other team doesn't get that luxury; literally winning the damn championship isn't even enough now for non-LA/NY teams as Kawhi showed when he left Toronto.

Blazers and Jazz will be worse, Memphis is far from a lock also.
