Yep that's the one thing they get right as long as they avoid controlling the narrative for the season that big ten slobbing last season was terrible. That's only good deal with those bonus networks gives them opp to show games all day on all the channels. I think Fox making some moves with Big Ten though that's gonna fukk with ESPN because like the Big Ten or not they have the biggest eyeballs when it comes to generating ratings as a conference
Yeah if they dominate both the PAC 12 and the B10, all they need to do is flip the ACC and its over

Article is mostly basura especially since it really didn't take into account ad revenue but If they make cuts, I could see it happening to the local beat writers they have on staff in every major sports city. Like the guy in OKC shouldn't be full-time. Even guys like Ed Werder shouldn't be full-time employees. I could see their current NBA insiders getting cut if the rumors about Woj coming aboard are true.

Disney Consumer Products make 35 billion a year. They are fine, but ESPN is approaching money loser status and there is nothing Disney can do about that. As @Nappy Hacker mentioned they extorted the carriers for years, but now those chickens are coming home to roost and they are willing to forgo ESPN if necessary. Look at what happened to ESPNNews, they used to have updates 24/7, but with twitter and reddit, who needs them?

Their highlight packages are short and biased. They are running a 2004 operation in 2017. Failure is inevitable.
