As a breh about to negotiate on a hybrid position, im glad the workers put the screws to him. Only people I feel for are the service workers whos jobs dried up when WFH emptied out city centers. Tough shyt though.

The world is changing and I’m glad he’s adjusting to it, now.

I came up in the era of work work work myself. I even fired someone for saying that this business is not their life, when I asked why they weren’t putting in more hours. I thought they didn’t respect what my company was about, but I was wrong.

Covid really pulled back the curtain on a lot of bullshyt

we saw the government give away money they supposedly couldn't give away to pay off student loan debt

we saw blatant, naked, and unashamed racism highlighted in policing and politics -- on a global scale

we saw that work didn't have to be our only identity as humans. there's more to life and balance exists between the two

eric is a boomer that thinks life now is the same when he was coming up. working harder will not earn you enough money to live a comfortable life. there are people working 2 to 3 jobs just to survive. he could work 1 back in the 90s, when he was in his 30s, and be fine. life has changed and boomers refuse to accept it

Game done changed. I'm gonna make a spin thread talking about that. Look out for it.

edit:

Employee asks HR why new employees are getting paid more, gets ridiculous response

^^ties into that.

I go into the office om average maybe once a week. Really is no point with my job 90% of the time. Couldn't imagine getting this salary and having to be in the office to boot.

I don’t care about WFH since that’s damn near impossible in my field, but did this old fukk really say he’s a ā€œwork in the office 7 days a week personā€? :dahell:
