How about stop crying that politicians that are winning in primaries where less than 30% of REGISTERED Democratic voters are participating. Low voter participation leads to shyt people getting elected. Low political participation creates the environment that allows corruption to fester.
Why would you care about the people when very few will actually elect you and the others will bytch and moan, but in the end will not do shyt. How does it make sense that if you think politicians that win despite not caring about their constituents, with very few people voting for them, will all of a sudden be compelled to do good?
The fact that people that would be helped most by politics do not actually vote is the problem. You do not hear this type of talk in well to do neighborhoods, they for some reason know the power of politics:
Richer people are more likely to vote in the U.S. than poorer people. The poor have a lower probability of having their interests and preferences reflected in public policy.

If you want politicians to represent you and your interests, then you need to get your vote out and keep yourself informed of the political process. Otherwise you will get crushed by those that do.
