I actually like DAZN but if boxing is to get back on the big stage, PBC will have to look into signing with Prime.

Whichever they decide, they're going to have to work on scheduling and talent development. Too many top level fighters not fighting and they have holes in too many divisions as far as talent it's concerned.

DAZN was fine until

9.99 a month
14.99 a month
99/year
150/year
250/year

If they get PBC they'll have us by the nutz on price.

Prime all the way

I can't see how the US subscribers are still high after that ridiculous price hike. I subscribed at launch for the $10 per month joint but if they still retained folks when they went to over $200 per year god bless em, I was done with them.
I got it for my grandfather and forgot that it was on auto renew. Boy was I pissed when I seen that $224.99 yearly membership charge.

My grandfather pissed that showtime is ending boxing and is cancelling his membership after the last event.

Prime would be the best option, and they are still looking to gain traction in the streaming field after their radio venture Just failed

Ishe has a point but in recent years, a lot of this started with the company that he was signed to with that "other side of the street" shyt. And on two occasions for sure, they didn't have the best fighter on their side of the street. :manny:

the best fought the best this year and still didn't do record numbers, thats an excuse.

The point is the old Boxing model does not work in the current or even future world of media consumption. Media companies can't even figure out how to keep the books black let alone green. Boxing is simply a causality

That doesn't change the fact that one company consistently made it difficult to do business because in the eyes of most, they were more popular company...

Only for their top fighters (Davis as the exception) to lose.

In recent years:

Wilder lost to Fury
Porter lost to Crawford
Spence lost to Crawford

In all three cases, the fighters had to make it happen because PBC likes to play hardball. The one plus about moving to DAZN would be matchmaking being easier.

Amazon Prime is a better fit for a wider audience but terrible for two reasons

- crossover fights would be a nightmare
- it might get 'lost in the sauce not being a primary focus with Amazon. Kind of like One Championship is.

boxing isn't the primary focus anywhere.
Crossover fights will happen if the money is right. Boxing isn't govt subsidized and this boxers do jack shyt to boost their profiles for the money to be there.

same nikka was crying about guanretees and then after the fight said he sees the value in backend.

:mjlol:

you nikkas aint serious

You missing the point. It took the FIGHTER to tell his company to get the fukk outta the way to make the fight happen.

This the same fighter that said he'd rather take the easy route and that the fighter that beat him was in the wrong side of the street.

It took a phone call from one FIGHTER to another FIGHTER to make it happen.
