Because in the grand scheme of things they aren't important. Showing off your skill set as an unpolished rookie in your first game is what's important.

The turnovers will lessen with time, but the raw skills we are already seeing will only improve.

Unless you really think he's gonna average double digit turnovers for the rest of his career?
