I agree and normally I don't care about them that much, but it songs like @sshole and So Far (em's lyrics suck too) the production really fukks it up and sticks out too much

Lol yea wtf is with this track. It's like a shyttier version of Hailie's Song, and I don't even understand what the point of it is

Although when he says "without you" it reminded me of Kim. "I don't want to go on, living in this world without you" - would've been better if he did a song of angry yelling like that

I liked a$$hole tbh kinda catchy. Not saying its great but its easy to listen to

People have said it a million different ways, but Eminem is the most talented rapper ever to make the worst music. He has more cringe inducing songs than any other high caliber artist. And at the same time he can rhyme his ass off. I don't get it...

Name them, so I can check for em...
Couldn't make it any further than this, sorry. :yeshrug:

I'm guessing by general public you mean people who are/aren't avid Hip-Hop fans. The typical Eminem/Nelly/Wayne/Drake album purchasers, consisting of white teens, suburbanites, and the top 40 crowd. Not that it makes their opinion on Hip-Hop comparisons invalid, but it's definitely something to :ehh: about. Not only did Pusha's album get exactly what you're mentioning in various outlets, but he didn't have the "popular rapper, platinum albums before, being white = easily getting white fans to buy millions of albums" angle working for him, and still got various rave reviews for AOTY. Agree to disagree though. I hear you, fam.

Even if pusha did make music in 2013 that caters to the top 40 crowd it wouldnt matter. They have no clue who is he is and have no interest in buying his music.

If hip hop STARS stopped completely trying to be "hip hop" the second hip hop fans stopped buying records

1.5 stars already :heh: how could you possibly have downloaded and listened to the whole album
Im crawling my way like a dehydrated man in the desert through this album. Its painful. Might be the most demonically corny album ive ever heard in my life from a respected hiphop artist. Even while im typing this im shaking my head at these corny lyrics and flows. :snoop:

:camby: hang it up em. This album,....................................................................................................................................................................................... is TRASH!

Listen to instrumentals then :camby:
I listen to hip hop for the beats and rhymes. Dude I quoted is acting like we should ignore the horrible beats Em chose and say the album is good strictly because of the lyrics.

What does any of this have to do with the actual MUSIC though? You're already showing your angle in your post with this irrelevant nonsense. :heh:

And the bolded just proved what I said in the post of mine you quoted. By catering to a demographic that's already established, having multiplatinum albums under your belt, etc...you already have a handicap for someone to say yours is AOTY. So for Push to even be in that discussion is an accomplishment that deserves more accolades from a MUSICAL / HIP HOP LISTENER'S perspective. fukk is you talkin about? You're clearly a CaC. :camby:

I hate that y'all constantly compare Eminem's sales, success, singles, etc. to other rappers.

It's 2013 and y'all still ain't accept that Eminem is a POP star?

Over half of Eminem's fan base listens to NO other rappers.

Eminem's core fan base are not hip hop heads. Don't ever get that confused. :camby:

These Stars (Jay, Kanye, Drake, Em) arent just artist who can release whatever the hell they want. They are businesses for their labels. Business provide the public will a product (retail) that will be popular and sell.
