Elzhi is a super dope rapper. Technically, concepts and song wise. I just think some great ones get lost in the shuffle. He's made great albums but he has gone years without dropping.

Couple that with not being on a major or well known label. Or any major affiliations as of late. He also seems like he's more private and in the cut. I know he was dealing with some personal stuff too. That will make you fall back for some.

He came of age in a different era musically where people kept the mystique more. I'd rather him do what he does then trying to fit in to current times.

I'd be hard pressed to find a rapper flat out better than him lyrically currently. Some on are his level though

The schemes, multis and smooth flow putting it together is dope. I do hope he drops another jericho Jackson.

For sure and Exactly why I used that comparison. With Music, Movies and etc, cats can make an exact copy and have it be called a classic. El didn't do that or break any hip hop rules. Hip hop is initially based of off sampling in the first place, no Illmatic without it. Even without Elmatic, El still has critically acclaimed work/didn't piggyback off of Nas to get to his status, all bars.
