you hit the nail on the head
alot of innovation is based in deep thought and simplicity
what is the minimum that can be brought to simplify a situation
what type of cause and effect can be applied to alter a design
what benefit can a small addition do to effect anything
someone invented a stool ... another person was like "I need a place to put my feet" they simply added another bar
it makes the stool more stable and universally versatile. We had flash on phones, someone was like "Just keep the flash on and call it a flashlight" its just basic shyt that normal or "Iq" based people are overlooking. It doesnt take a genius to innovate. If you look around the world, you can see innovation from every race at a basic level. Its more of operating out of necessity than knowledge.
A plane is more parameters and meter reading than anything, know the limits and understand operation. Plenty of dumb people drive cars everyday... plenty of high IQ people crash cars. The barometer of IQ doesnt explain much... plenty sensational people are dumb as bricks. Most Math or Science driven things arent wisdom, they are knowledge and application. Then given status and budget, you can test and apply what you already have. I cant design a supercar, but give me a production line and a track and I could
