There was a game forum I was on briefly back in the day but I remember a moderator there mentioned how if you have a “free for all” in terms of forum culture is you almost always end up with Nazis and pedophilia.

I used to be on the game and tech forums (IGN, Ars, Tom's, and a few smaller ones) many years ago, it's honestly how I ended up on Sohh and here. Got tired of the overt racism and degeneracy on some of those boards.

There's definitely a lot of Elon archetypes on there, and all around degeneracy. So pedophilia doesn't surprise me. Social outcasts get exceedingly strange the longer they are excommunicated.
