Elliott Wilson and integrity? He dikksucked whoever was hot at the time and ignored the intangible aspects that made hip hop special.
I still have hundreds of XXL magazines begining from the summer of 2000. Yea I used to be that nigg in the hood that nikkas huddled up with or even called when they wanted to hear who was doing what in the rap game. I'm about to drop everyone he dikkrode with no remorse.
2000-Cash Money Records had most of the XXL Covers (specifically Bird)
2001-2002- you would of swore this nigg had cubicle space in ROC offices. From Covers to articles he was infatuated wit the Roc.
End of 2002 The Source Magazine falls out with Eminem and Dre. This dude Elliot Wilson loved every bit of it. 50 Cent is scorching hot and guess who becomes Elliot's favorite cover guys Fif & G-Unit. For FOUR years straight he turned XXL into G Unit Publications.
So yea outside of those shenanigans he never really had a crossover voice in media or pop culture. He's drunk off his old glory of riding who was hot in the early 2000s
