Did people forget what It Is What It Is was birthed from?? It's wasn't supposed to be polished or or journalistic. It's was supposed to be a take on how folks in the hood would talk sports if they were on a show. In my opinion I think they gotten away a little from what the original concept was but understandably so. I don't know why people keep expecting them to treat the platform like a First Take or First Things First, Undisputed, etc. That defeats the whole purpose.
I still get what Elliott is saying
Artists are going to forego going on platforms where they get serious questions, if they can go on shyt like Shannon Sharpe instead
That was happening even before social media with things like Angie Martinez, and her loyalty to Jay-Z
Hip hop has never had much journalistic integrity it seems like, but i dont have that much knowledge
Neither does mainstream news media right now tho...
