Did people forget what It Is What It Is was birthed from?? It's wasn't supposed to be polished or or journalistic. It's was supposed to be a take on how folks in the hood would talk sports if they were on a show. In my opinion I think they gotten away a little from what the original concept was but understandably so. I don't know why people keep expecting them to treat the platform like a First Take or First Things First, Undisputed, etc. That defeats the whole purpose.

They got fame from it and decided to take it a little more seriously. Like they got real money out of it. Its in the same lane as a first take.. I mean they were saying they’re the new source or whatever to take on espn and them. They’ve had Stephen A on more than once.. that legitimized them some. I don’t know what’s going on with them now because I don’t watch like I used to but I do want to watch the live show when it comes to Charlotte.

Folk were promoting this. Like having athletes go on someone’s podcast if they don’t have their own to dodge tough questions from media folks. Well a lot of these platforms don’t want to do the real work it takes, they want to sit around and shoot the shyt.. that’s ok with me. Just stop saying you’re journalists when you’re just podcasters and entertainers.
