I’m stubborn if I know I can eventually beat it I will, I killed him the first time I saw him too after like 5 or 6 deaths

I ran into about 5 of them.. the one in the snow was the toughestTheres ANOTHER?
So far I ran into one outside the Beastial Sanctuary, One on some steps in the capital and another in the capital sewers. I know theyre weak to blunt, but whats the best for em?

Smacked every boss.. only one that made me lean back for assistance was Melenia and the nikka that fused himself with a snake(before I realized you needed to use a special spear laying on the ground)

This endgame optional tree area is nuts, it’s like they took every annoying hated enemy the game has to offer and just filled the entire zone with them lol
big trees as normal enemies, crucible knights, Ballistas, those 8 legged screachers with the twenty hit combo, Those two sworded disc throwing fukks that inflict rot, Crystal soldiers..whole place is a joke lol

This quest just to respec my guy is wild 
- Beat a hidden boss to access a portal to get behind Army guarding gate
- Go up to dead NPC to get location of a key to open the gate
- Sneak past a whole dragon to get the key
- Open gate
- Go through graveyard of skeletons that grab you and take half your life

Will this game have DLCs? Im new to souls games. I need a place to rune farm.
Decided to just take a random adventure tonight and ended up finding a way to get to the Atlus Plateau without using the Grand Lift of Dectus

I will say this.. the storyline/lore of this game is a lot more easier to follow than previous souls games
He's not meant to be fought right now. It's the developer's fukk you to get you used to running, leveling up, and coming back way way way way way way way way way later to beat a boss. You're supposed to flee because nothing in this game will be easy.
So... How important is Patches? He ran up on me and then tried begging for mercy. I thought it was a trap so I ended up killing him.
He's not important. You can buy a valuable item from him to fight Margit. But if you kill Patches, and take his bell bearing, you can take it to the finger merchant twins at round table hold and his store will still be available to you. He also moves around the map. So you won't find him at those other locations. While he doesn't have a questline, he is infatuated with the mistress of Volcano Manor, and has a minor part in the outcome of that quest line.
It's really a hate/like relationship for me with this game and have no real desire to beat it. So fukk it. I'm just going to grind and farm my way to max level, and go on a boss murder spree.
