Hopefully it only makes Tatum better, and hungrier to figure out a way to step up when the pressure is on. He definitely takes this shyt personal, and heard the talk, but Brown is also a facilitator and will do whatever he needs to make the chemistry continue to work.

Also, who's Luka and Ky gonna be guarding? Luka's gonna be food if he tries to guard Tatum or Brown. Ky's gonna get bullied by Jrue if he tries to guard Jrue. Both Luka and Kyrie are going to be the worst defenders on the court. Nobody seems to be talking about that. Minnesota is just too dumb to go small and take advantage of those matchups.

Celtics def “want it” more that’s for sure. I don’t get any sense of urgency from the Mavs especially coming back home down 2 games with a chance to send it back to Boston tied and living rent free in the Celtics heads that they’ve been known to choke in big moments (lately)

There’s zero denying they were going to be a problem coming out of the East. The only team that could’ve gave them a series I think was OKC as long as Porzingis stayed hurt, if he’s healthy through a series nobody is beating them this year

To have a chance against Boston you need size, a dynamic scorer, and solid defense.

The interesting thing about Luka and the Mavericks is that they were the best defensive team in the 2nd half of the season. Unfortunately for them, they ran into a juggernaut that they just weren’t going to be able to beat even if those role players played above their talent again.

People are going to use that to try and discount the Celtics run, but they were by far the best team in the league all season long so people shouldn’t leave that out when trying that narrative.

All things considered they have actually done a pretty good job defensively. The issue for them has been offense. Its 2024 and they havent topped 100 pts in 3 Finals games. Their defense has kept them in it but these offensive lulls and turnovers have killed them. How long was that game 93-90 last night? Boston was getting nothing offensively and the Mavs couldnt capitalize.

At some point we just have to acknowledge what Boston is doing to them. Mavs D, and most defenses in 5 fairness, aint equipped to handle 5 guys that can score and have the greenlight at all times. Then on the flipside the got 5 guys that they are comfortable guarding their man.
