Celtics are the better team and should be favored, but nearly everyone outside of New England is rooting for the Mavs.

Boston is perceived as the Bad Guys in this matchup and people want to see the new team with mercurial talent upset the storied franchise.

So why were they not favored by Vegas to win any of these series ? They were the betting underdog regardless of who picked them to win. They also beat 3 50 win teams to get to the finals that in itself makes it a harder road to get where they at

Especially since even if the Celtics path was weak this year this isn’t their first deep playoff run. Tatum, Brown, Horford, etc. have had battles with prime LeBron, prime Steph, Giannis, Spo and his blood magic, etc. Weird how that experience is being discarded
