Y’all gotta stop with this type of bullshyt.
Stating reality isn’t “making excuses”.
No one in here is saying that black men can’t be successful because of white supremacy.
What brehs are saying is that, you may not find a man who out earns you off top because in corporate America it’s easier for black women to get certain opportunities.
I’ve seen it myself with my own parents.
Both are computer programmers in the financial sector.
My dad has literally 2x the experience that my mother does. But for awhile she outearned him.
Whenever she would interview for certain positions, he would do mock interviews with her and tell her exactly what she needed to say to get the job.
She is constantly going to him for help, not the other way around.
But because he’s a black man and she’s a black woman (an ambiguous looking one at that) she gets access to certain opportunities that he doesn’t.
He outearns her now, but even when he didn’t he always found a way to provide and be a great father to myself and my siblings.
A lot of these women are overlooking good men because he’s not immediately where they want him to be and end up missing out.
It’s ironic too, because I see many black women that are willing to drop their financial requirements to take care of a thug or a bum ass CAC.
But if a stand up breh is legitimately trying his best and falling short because of circumstance, he’s not given that same grace.
