There are many more eligible Black women than Black men. People that get degrees typically want to date other people that have degrees. Black women are destroying Black men in that category

A degree means absolutely jack shyt.
I have a bachelor's and I deal with black women with phds and masters.
dI have a cousin who runs a entire foundation/cement operation for a large building firm and he has no degree and served a stint in club fee, but that brother is one of the sharpest mfers you will meet.

A person’s decision to marry is based on many traits that have nothing to do with the earning power of one’s partner, whether he or she already has had children with another partner, whether he or she has been married before, and whether he or she is a good match in terms of race or education. But these simple ratios demonstrate that any “shortage” of marriageable partners is heavily dependent both on one’s definition of marriageable and on the demographic group being examined. Marriageability may have as much to do with rising rates of education and employment among women, very high rates of incarceration among young black males, and high rates of unwed childbearing among young women as it does with a simple definition focused only on male employment and earnings.

There are quite a few very successful black men out there. Most are marrying very successful black women, or very successful white women. The casual way every side has decided it's perfectly ok to denigrate black men is telling. We're hyper violent criminals, killing black women and gay black men in record numbers on an hourly basis. We're also dead beat fathers who hate our children. And we're lazy bums who won't get a job. Oh and we are obsessed with becoming white men. Who else gets talked about like that from academia to celebrities?

This is a bad message. Black women should be especially careful of this type of messaging because our incomes are typically not high enough for this nonsense. Children need nurturing, time, attention, guidance, and cost money! I think women just think of a cute little accessory to pour unconditional love and attention to. They don’t realize it takes two parents and even an extended family on both sides to raise kids. This ain’t it.
