frustrated as i go through this first listen. I can get with the production in most places, but the mix is so fckn awful - literally have no idea what he's saying.

shyt really plays like "some rap songs" you'd hear in the background of some indie film.

favs so far: dec. 24th, the mind, the bends, riot (reminds me of how therapeutic solace was)

I respect his talent but Earl's albums are a fukkn chore to listen to

And yea the vocal mixing on this is :trash:
Lot of the beats are subpar imo

Yeah i fukk with Earl but...this ain't it :camby:
Beats and Earls flow hardly connect at all. That can be OK sometimes, but not for 15 tracks.
I'm good on this one.

This is like a mixture of diff influences of Madlib, heavy Standing On The Corner influence on this (production wise)

I enjoyed this album. I ain't even gon front tho, I was nervous with it only being 25 mins. But honestly if it was any longer it would of been an overkill. Sounds like he said everything he wanted in such a short amount of time.

Standout tracks are Red Water, December 24, Veins, Nowhere2go

Also if you fukked with this album I'd suggest giving Red Burns by Standing On The Corner a listen.

What a letdown. Lazy work

Was listening to it while driving and was shocked when the first track relooped after every track played. 15 tracks more like only 7. Smh

I loved I don't like shyt and still listen to most of the songs on it but this isn't even close to that

I love how claustrophobic the mixing is really makes u relate to his mind state, also something to consider while u listen to this is the fact he wanted to present the album to his father but he passed away before that happened then like a week later his uncle passed. He made the tracks peanut and riot! after that with riot! sampling his uncle who was a famous african musician

thats crazy cause after a few listens "nowhere2go" is probably my favorite. You really gotta listen close to his lyrics. :manny:

And yea the Music fits his rap style personality and subject matter.

This album reminds me alot of some of Blu's experimental music later in his career.

Also a few songs Earl raps kinda like Charles Hamilton

Not bad rappers to be compared to at all. :hubie:

I do understand some people will hate this album if you haven't been listening to Earl for years or not into "low fi" hip hop. :yeshrug:
