I don't like Valya at the moment. I'm starting to see why the Harkonen clan turned out as twisted as they did
They've definitely made her unlikable but it's also easy to see why she was resentful and bitter AF

Damn, I didn't realise this season has only six episodes. That's disappointing.

@LordDeathwatch you gotta update the title. They renamed it to Dune: Prophecy
I was so damn confused for a second there :snoop:

She's gay, and I already did the googles, but Theodosia has a massive set of t*ts hiding under that bullshyt

Them sisters ruthless and they've got a dangerous combination of unrelenting ambition and unwavering loyalty, at least in those younger years. Guess we see where the descendants get that spirit from. And is the whole family lines physical appearance altered by the time we get to the movie timeline? I haven't watched it in a while and remember them looking human-ish, but not like three other normal looking humans.

I'll spoiler this even though the movie has been out for a while, but don't forget that
Jessica is just as much of a Harkonnen as Rabban and Feyd-Rautha. So...the characters we are looking at on the show are also Paul's ancestors.

Completely forgot about that:ohhh: May end up going back and rewatching the movies as I get more background info with this show.

I disagree that the sisterhood is villainous

I wish here was a sisterhood in the US right now:francis:
There are a few of them, and at least one major one that has been discussed on this site before is certainly in lockstep with the incoming administration :francis:

Certain people are always ok/thriving regardless of what is happening in this nation. A few of those ppl are in the groups you’re referring to lol

Lots of political maneuvering this episode.

Desmond on his :demonic:again, but it seems like using his powers takes its toll.
Dude, maybe I need to go back to E1 but this Desmond cat is still too much of a mystery for me. He survived an attack, received powers and orders to destroy the sisterhood?

Now i get it

”look into that place where you dare not look. I am the eyes staring back at you… “ - muadib, dune 2

Hence “fear is the mind killer”

being that it was IN the worm… thise who know how dune turns out and who the tyrant of the bene geserit is… worm emperor leto II, from the future watching them all. My guess. How he got his powers tho? Idk… maybe spice is something from the ai since noone knows about how the worms even got on arakis in first place

I'm actually coming around to liking this a lot.
The problem is...I feel like it would be REALLY hard to recommend to people who aren't already familiar with this universe beyond the recent movies.
It would be like coming into "House of the Dragon" completely cold.

Something that I didn't fully "get" about this show until last week is that we're basically looking at a "post-apocalyptic" universe here.
We're so close to the massive war against the thinking machines, that the old people in the flashbacks actually REMEMBER it.

House Harkonnen went from living in frozen shacks in Space Siberia to living in skyscrapers, House Atreides was running around in the medieval times forests.
Its just like 2 generations or so after "Skynet" was defeated.
