One thing that they are playing with is the audience's expectations that the Atradies are automatically the "good guys".

But it seems like both Desmond and the Swordmaster are Atradies or part Atradies, and they can both be looked at as bad in their own ways

I dont think the sword dude is a bad guy. Flawed sure, and certainly not good...but not necessarily evil. And not evil in the Dune universe is practically the same thing as good. Desmond is Harkannon too...which pretty much guarantees him to be a sadistic evil overlord that's motivated by power (see Paul Atradies)

Family Reunion didn't go quite like how Tula planned

The Emperor was the puppet that cut his own strings

Valya headed off to Arakis with the princess and swordmaster to root out a new threat.

Meanwhile Sisterhood HQ is in chaos with the sins of the past coming to light

Mixed feelings about this show. They abused the voice to a point where it became stupid. All the girls are coming by the voice that easily in the flashback? Mopped up the whole rest of the order?

And when they were breaking the princess out they just drop their plan and save the swordmaster instead of Theo impersonating the princess. Wasted her skill and didn't even kill Desmond.
