drugs/alcohol are usually used to mask something. Some sort of pain.
Find that and try to fix that.
I know a girl who's addicted to xans, percs, weed etc. She has a 100+ dollar a day habit. She tried to stop and she has to take these strips that numb the withdrawls and urges. But she's recently relapsed and gone back.
It's sad. But you can't help them if they don't wanna help themself.
But just remember you're doing your body great damage and at some point, food & other necessities will take a back-seat
