I fukks with Guapdad. I kinda perplexed why he hasn't achieved more mainstream success. Maybe he is on his way tho. I saw he has a No Jumper interview. Maybe consumers will be interested then.

I think he had an image problem because his vocals are decent to me.

Gotta say I’m glad they released LamboTruck and Costa Rica to temper my expectations :francis: Down Bad and Got Me had me ready for some next level. Overall I would say the project is just good. Not expecting to dive back into it much.

I was a bit put off by all these random cats on here but I'm fukking with it the more I listen. Son interrupting the raps on 1993 still annoys me though.

Hopefully they drop a physical with a few extra tracks.

I see Mez mixed this album, he must have been studying Dre :ohhh:

I fukk with this. It grew on me it's a solid/good project.
Everyone did their thing on "Sacrifices" especially my guy Saba :wow:
"1993" is dope and annoying at the same time everytime nikkas was REALLY about to get in their bag they got cut off lol that's like a coach benching you after you start cooking on the court.

Album is pretty solid to me on first listen and Cole rapped more then I thought he would.

My only critique is it sounds like one too many JID songs. Not saying he is a bad rapper but I'm not the biggest fan for some reason.

Alot of these artist on Dreamville are a chore to listen to imo. I think I like the spirit of what Cole is tryna do tho I guess.

I think the production is excellent.

J Cole really helped shifted the over reliance of 808 in mainstream RAP.

And tried to give a little more balance with "boom Trap" and updated boom bap. He is not the only artist doing it but on the mainstream he was one of the first to usher it back in.

Might do a appreciation thread on this topic.

Shut up
