To be fair... Nordic Vikings rocked locsA lot of my family are Rastas, so them wearing dreads comes from the fact that they believe Jah ordered them not to be bald headed. But also, the reason they're even called "dread locks" instead of just locks/locs is because they're commemorating slaves coming off slave ships and arriving in the Americas with matted unkempt hair. The slave masters referred to them as "dreadful".
Why white people would wear dreads is beyond me, it's disrespectful, and appropriating a culture that was the result of them destroying it in the first place is a joke to me. White people were the reason dreadlocks were created anyway. They make fun of our hair textures, but as soon as we celebrate them, they wanna join in? fukk outta here.
I feel the same way about black women who wear weavesWhite people should not wear dreads, at all. shyt is disrespectful.
I can't go with that free form growth tho. shyt can turn out too crazy for me
Had dreads for 6 years til i was forced to cut em

That's pretty awesome that you've maintained it for 10 years.
Something that's been with you that long...do you think you'll be emotional about it when you have to cut them?
stupid young nikka shyt brehWhy'd you have to cut em if you don't mind me asking. Yeah I hated that in between stage and how often I had to have somebody work on them. A few hours every week or they'd look bad.
