the biritsh brought over indians to work on the sugar plantations in jamaica the indians the ones who brought over dreads and weed culture to that island. if you look at sadhu culture and compare it rastafari culture the two are almost identical in a lot of belief systems including smoking weed and wearing dreads as a religion

No. Have you ever met any Sadhus? They don't believe in Ras Tafari aka Haile Selassie being the second advent of Christ or God himself. Sadhus are yogis, which comes from the buddhist belief system.

You're right.But still,i think the Mau Mau added more symbolism to dreadlocks for the rastas because these were Africans chasing the white man from their land.The connection must have been stronger here than with the Indians.
