chief keefs locs are always going to look like that with his style

you want legit grown man locs you got to grow them that way from the start, depending on how kinky your hair is it can take a couple months to a year for a full head of completely loc'd locs

I get my hair retwist every two to three week at that so I've been breaking bread...

As a soon to be former dreadhead (in the process of taking down my locs now...and yes it can be done just takes a LOT of time ) you shouldn't retwist so often. When I first started, I realized my hair was softer than I thought because it took forever to fully loc. Retwist too often will make them weaker ESPECIALLY since you're interlocking.

Did you wash them randomly before getting them retwist, or only when getting them retwisted? As soon as I was em, I got from having longer skinnier twist to looking like a mini dreaded fro

I got my first twist about 3 weeks ago. Seems like my hair has grown an inch since then. I had a fro under my twist, I had to go get re-twisted this past weekend. It's still the rough stage. My twist vary from 1-3.5 inches. The Jamaican stylist says my hair will loc up fast. I had suppose to start growing my hair out 3 years ago with my brother. His hair is on his chest now. The women love him even more than before Can't wait til I get to Chief Keif status. I should be decent by the summer. Good think I can wear knit hats all winter in DC.

They have products like "dry shampoo" (sorry the name escapes me) for between washes. Water is your friend though because if you wait too long to cleanse your hair it will become a lint magnet

what is legit to you? down to your shoulders? id say about 2 1/2 maybe less but i know its probably shorter for other people. below the chest? would take 3-4 years

Keep it twisted for 3 months then put it back in a fro then twist it again. your hair will already start locking back and you'll have more locs.
