Nah I'm saying I'm at 8 months now of just getting lined up with nothing cut off thinking I might get my shyt dreaded in August
but I want some of them big joints like Wayne used to have.

Any coli peeps got any tips. Back at school my homegirl was telling me if I wanted to get larger dreads I should start off with a smaller number of them. Would letting my hair get longer help too?

what length is a good length to get your shyt twisted at? im at about 2.5 inches right now.
also what type of cuts should i get? (cuz im not walkin round with my fro all outta control rn)

Even cut, just tell yo barber dont cut all yo shyt off ig. I waited almost 7 months b4 i saw a loctician & id do hot oil treatments twice a week. You gotta find out what products work 4 yo hair & what dont but that H.O.T. gone hafta stop once u get twisted.

Had mine almost 5 years now. Starting out was a bytch but once they locked it was easy street. I'm a truck driver do I don't always have the time for a retwist so a loc soc is my best fried when a nikka looking like a cast member from 12 years of a slave.

@spaceXjamzZ yeah its a Florida type dreads its called dreads bonks. marley had the same type of dreads too. I know its basically double-strand twist/plaiting/free forming or after you got your dreads get a group of them and put rubber bands around them and the dreads end up combining on there own

I got two strand twists & my locs aint big like that, im not sho how 2 get that. I personally dont like that shyt specially gunplays but i aint judgin it aint me

Best decision I ever made. I love my dreads and so does everyone else. The toughest phase was the first one, but after they locked and started growing, it gave me a type of freedom I hadn't imagined.
