You kinda making his point. Woziak had the most impact because of his positioning in time, being there at the forefront early on. But does that make him an objectively better engineer than anyone else? He left Apple in 1985 and started up something like half-a-dozen new companies since then, I don't think any of them lasted even five years.
Malcolm Gladwell has a great essay about Bill Gates and how many things had to come together to ensure that he was uniquely positioned to be that guy. There might have been plenty of other people who could have done the same thing, but we'd never know because the others didn't get the particular opportunities at the right time.
