If I was Poole…..Aint no way in hell that would have been the end of it.

I know what you mean but Poole can't fukk up the money heading his way. From the reports, he stayed around after the incident and got shots up with two other teammates. Warriors better do right by him.

Meanwhile Klutchmond was out there trying to control the narrative through client journalists. New media playing the same old dirty games. :pacspit:

I wish I could BLOCK all the posts about "sucker punch" or fighting rules of engagement. They clogging up the thread.
:martin:

There's many more interesting points to discuss about this situation.

  1. What will the Warriors front office do now? Will they backpedal, apply gas, or stay put?
  2. Who leaked the video, and why? Just for money or to hurt Dray and the Dubs?
  3. How will Poole bounce back? Will he be able to play with Dray, or will he push for a trade? Will his confidence be the same, or irreparably damaged?
  4. Will Dray actually take full responsibility and humble himself? He's never been able to do this before, even when he's been dead wrong. What will New Media say publicly?
  5. Does this make the Warriors decision easier about who they pay max money to? They were heading into some tough decisions next year, and someone was going to be disappointed.
  6. Does the young group of future stars look at Dray different now? Will they reject his "leadership"?
  7. Will Dray be suspended for the ring ceremony game?
  8. How will the home crowd receive both Dray and Jordan? What kind of reception will they get?
...and I'm sure there's other angles.

Care to elaborate on this?
The Warriors organization, especially in the Lacob/Steph/Kerr era, has a reputation for having the best culture in the league.

That was part of the reason why they were always able to get great free agents for the league minimum during their early championship years.

They play with "joy and love" as their secret sauce, and ownership and management doesn't treat them like $20 million dollar slaves.

Now it's all hands on deck to keep the franchise from beginning it's decline.

Their secret sauce is that they are in California and not Minnesota

Yeah the business interest alone is worth it, they got all ftpes of investments to get into plus women and good weather.

But from what I hear Poole is very unlikable by many players he talks mad trash and offends everyone. He talked greasy to dame already and Luka, no t camping for draymond but dray can easily get players behind him due to Poole mouth.

I don’t even think it’s all that serious, teammates probably fight all the time in practice. This is the public fake outrage cause we got a glimpse of how competitive players are behind the scenes.

I think it goes a little deeper than that, if we being honest players say made stuff to each you wouldn't see on the street, they know they in a closed door area and they say crap to each other. I think we kinda let society push mj and kobe talking mad smack to teammates with no backlash and make it normal. Kobe plunking Pau and mj plunking Kerr, Oakley fighting people all the time, we kinda elevate them due to success but you can't talk like that outside the white man's shelter younger dealt with.

We kinda created this so we got own it punishing draymond is kinda reenforcing a way we elevate people due to skill.

What has changed to where you believe this still isn't the case?

Their decline is inevitable, given that Steph, Klay and Dray are all at the tail-end of their respective careers, I'm just trying to work out how this incident is going to alter their course, when they've been through their fair share of dramas over the last better part of a decade, and lived to tell the tale.

I'm just questioning why you believe their culture is "on trial" as if this is their one and only hiccup? They've had more setbacks and overcome them than almost every single dynasty in NBA history; they've managed to reinvent themselves and retool multiple times when everyone counted them out, over and over, and over again.

I just think if you are around teammates in a competitive environment like how NBA players are then shyt is going to happen from time to time. The video leak is probably common practice in a lot of training camps across all pro sports.

I think it's unfair to assume Draymond purposefully framed that after the fact to throw Poole under the bus. That would mean you're inferring Draymond is purposefully trying to alienate him from the playing group and/or trying to get him off the squad, which isn't in his nature, that we aware of.

What most likely is the case, Haynes is aware of them having history, and Draymond has likely spoken about this in the presence of Klutch in the past, and this is more or less Haynes trying to protect him, rather than Draymond trying to deflect blame away from himself and onto Poole.

It's in these cats job descriptions to spin shyt, they don't need someone to guide them along the way.
