I’ve actually stopped caring a lil bit. That news cycle is a mfY'all know what I forgot about and I know y'all forgot about already? Antmans comment about gay people. This shyt will blow over in a couple weeks just like everything else.
That's not fraudulent activity though.
An interesting anecdote from Kerr.
He states that in the 32 years he's been involved in the NBA, he's seen 20+ "fist fights" in team practice, and that they don't make it out beyond the walls of the facility. It just goes to show how common this is, and how organizations do their damn best to keep this shyt in-house.
Oh, fo sho.No different than NDA's the major companies made folks sign- nothing to see here folks.
There's no way you take 9 months of traveling, pre season, road trips, hotels, losing streaks, buses and not get a general disdain for your teammate at some point. It's impossible. You're away from your family, kids (yes you make $$$ but you're human, nikkas get irritating) of course it happens. Can you imagine tolerating Draymond and his antics from October to June!?!?
You can spin it without a video.
And you’d still run into situation in where a video will leak out if the price is right those things won’t change and those threats won’t curtail people. Them cats ain’t making NBA money so they can easily be convinced to help leak shyt even securityNBA works with the FBI. They have folks who monitor bank accounts for fraudulent activity, or who suddenly get high bank deposits. A video rep making 50k suddenly hitting 150k it's a wrap. If by some miracle they can't be found that idiot still has to file taxes and claim it.
After the gambling scandal everyone probably has extra bank account scrutiny.
They will hire a digital forensic team and likely the facility has badge codes of who had access at the time to do this. Not to mention it's probably like 5-10 folks tops who are part of the video circle.
They ass is grass. Every league now is going to change their recording policy from here on out. There will be a security member personally watching the recording of all practices, etc.

Fights of this magnitude don't happen in NBA practices all the time and they sure as hell don't involve one of the most popular teams in the NBA and a polarizing player in Draymond especially since we're talking about an actual punch thrown. That alone was going to catch the tabloids attention and them try and find a way to get access to that video. Why hasn't it happened until now? I guarantee this changes the entire video security operations of teams. Fights happen in NBA and NFL likely weekly during practices.
They could block outside email addresses, no USB drive devices connecting to servers or devices, authorized person's only access, badge readers to rooms, video taping the actual rooms of filming, etc. They totally fukked up with their greed.

Those employees aren't making NBA money and could be easily replaced at the drop of the dime, so you're not going to have the type of loyalty where they can't be easily bought. Even you would have leaked that video if you the tabloids were offering you 6 figures and you're lying if you sat here and said otherwise. The majority of us would have.
That's never stopped people from leaking videos before and it's still not going to stop people from leaking the videos going forward. If the money is right, someone is going to do it and I don't necessarily blame them. Even security would be tempted to do it.Not saying video guys are making good money and yes money talks. But the idea that you won't get caught releasing a video of this magnitude and the likely ironclad employment agreement language in your contract likely scares off 99% of folks.
Now you getting sued by the Warriors and NBA what good is that 150k?

The Warriors should have had a contingency in the event that the video would leak out instead of naively believing that it wouldn't happen as everybody in that building isn't making the same level of pay and ain't going to have the same level of loyalty to help keep the situation under wraps.
If anything, they should be pissed at Draymond for creating another situation again when he didn't necessarily have to.
Very telling moment from Steve Kerr presser on Sat...
Monty Poole: "You guys have been through stuff with Draymond before, is trust in any way compromised?"
Kerr: "No comment"
Also, his body language looks like he's going to explode.
