If she was serious about buying it, it contracts would've been signed and money would've been in escrow. And if you KNOW, a deal is in place you don't spend $270,000 in renovations, if you haven't bought the house yet. He countered $400,000 more than she offered, and she accepted, which makes me wonder what the market value is. If the house is worth at or north of $4 million, than her original offer was a joke , and $3.2 million is still well under market value. Not to mention, she's not guaranteed to stay with Green and they're not married, so if they break up, all he's paying is child support. Which may or may not cover her mortgage. Which also begs another question. How was she paying for the house in the first place. 9 times out of 10 i wasn't an all cash deal. If it was, the deal would've been completed before she started investing in renovations.
