Coming from a female, I find k dot's music more relatable. I consider us to be similar in that we were both raised on the fringe, yet found a way to stay out of real trouble - the art of peer pressure and ADHD are songs I can relate to so clearly. Drake makes mood music, I'm not into the simp shyt (everyone will let you know) and I'm not moody. His club shyt hits when it hits, but dude makes moody ass music which just ain't me.

NWTS is soft as fukk tho. like even on the hard beats the dude starts simping and shyt :what:. ruins any good that could come of the song. i'll give it 1.5/5 mics only cause that Tuscan Leather beat is hard to me :ld:

Remove his background. Drake's music is what im talking about. He hits all demographics.

Unlike alot of ya on here. Im actually FROM the "HOOD". And I can tell you easily, that the streets fukk with, relate, and play Drake more than Kendrick.

I feel alot of ya internet folk who say silly shyt like that, are actually from the burbs, hip hop nerds, or are white people trying to overcompensate. Regular folks in the hood dont give a fukk about "credibility" if the music is dope, they are gonna fukk with it. Why you think half of these wild nikkas in Chiraq all quote Rick Ross as one of their favorite artist?

Funny part is, im willing to bet most of ya on this website live a closer life to Drake than Kendrick anyways :manny:.

Eh itss hard for me to like Drakefor the simple fact I feel like I could like Drake if he kept it to rappin for majority of the time and kept it to the stuntin and shyt talkin:heh:....Fab is considered "for the ladies" by hiphop fans but I still know I'm aget a good 80% where he spitttin his azz off and shyt talkin to the maximum:ohlawd:

But apparently some people got it in em to vibe to hybrid albums like Kanyes 808,or Love Below....I don't know how y'all do it:whew:...maybe cuz I'm oldschool and still use cd's:pachaha:....when I put in rnb I'm in a rnb mood, whatever type of rap I put in I'm in the mood to hear that type of RAP....answer if GMKC

But u know what u gettin with drake so u beatin a deadhorse talkin bout "bu bu but he sing to much"...you probaly knew u wouldn't like it as much as a great rap album goin in.

Thats why I always jus :snoop: when I see these Coli dweebs try to make assumptions of what nikkas in hood feel or not feel. When in reality they prolly have a closer background to tha lifestyle of the same artists that they detest.

These Coli nikkas jus cant handle tha #FACTSSSSS :wow:

If I wanna hear R&B I'll listen to real singers I listen to plenty r&b ...but this shyt here cool if you coolin with a chick or in a club or party where I'm just vibing not caring about lyrics.............outside of that :manny:

Which is better? Let me just say,I'm the 1st to vote for k.dot:youngsabo:

You KNOW you:ufdup: when you made this thread KNOWING I was going to go IN right?

Kendrick Lamar's Good Kid M.a.a.d City is THE best debut album from a Hip Hop artist since The College Dropout. Kendrick seemlessly was able to weave the themes of teenaged black angst permeating within the urban community (The uncertainty of choices seperating right and wrong, The hoplessness that enshrouds ones mindstate when faced with everyday violence and corruption, the crabs in a barrel mentality of those who fall into the trappings of their surroundings, the inner hope for redemption amidst cultural savagery) with the honesty and emotion of his own life story. Creating a concept album in which the story is simultaneously personal and yet relateable. His lyrics were crafted with painstaking attention to detail, the production was actually made to FIT the concept of each track, helping to unify the album into completion. There was no fat, no filler, and bullshyt. Just one man, one mic, and one story. What Kendrick was able to accomplish in 12 songs was nothing short of extraordinary for an album released on a major label in 2012. Kendrick didn't cater to mainstream's defintion of Hip Hop, he instead played a very vital part in redefining what the artform was capable of....

What Drake would've had to do to touch GKMC wasn't to follow Kendrick, or try to make a concept album, he would've had to OUT RAP Kendrick, and he didn't. There is no song on NWTS touching the lyrical precision or mastery that Kendrick displayed on GKMC. Nothing to compare to the raw honesty of Real, the stark sorrow and poetical narration of Sing About Me/Dying Of Thirst, the victorious bravado of Compton. the sheer hunger of Backseat Freestyle. Kendrick above all, RAPPED HIS ASS OFF on GKMC.

Drake did not...
