Billy goat
So when is his grace period upAs for you @Billy Ocean you backstabbing ass, Im giving you a grace period. Fix that shyt
why you fighting so hard for Drake tho? I dont even get it.
Chuck D spoke on Drake awhile back.
And he said he's "a kid who makes great music. You can't deny that. You see why he's successful. But I don't see him as one of Hip Hop's best MC's" I've always agreed with that. He raps, he sings, he's written for other people, both MC's and R&B artists. I don't see how his credibility is at stake when he's never been a grassroots MC in the first place. He never was. This isn't a Kool G Rap, Redman, Black Thought or Common type of MC. There aren't many people who aren't getting help with hooks. That's been the norm forever. Dude credited QM as a writer. It's not some hidden shyt. He brings people in to help, that's always been known.
Drake is Drake. I don't ever remember anyone saying he's some type of top echelon MC. What he is, is very successful and hugely popular. But not just in Hip Hop, but in music period. That's why this isn't gonna hurt him. Chicks don't care about who wrote what hook or whatever. There are people's parents who buy Drake records. So I get why people don't dig him. He's kinda bigger than Rap, at this point. He's a personality too. So whether we like it or not, the rules don't apply to everyone. Drake, Kanye, Puff, Dre, etc. They get passes because they're seen more for who they are, rather than what they're actually contributing to their own shyt. Sometimes the name is bigger than the actual product. Drake's gotten himself to that point. So all this won't change anything for him. Is it fair? Nah, but it's the truth.
aye, thought we was cool but Neg for the subs.
First off
1. Still not proven whether or not Drake has a ghostwriter for his shyt. That reference track is the only thing yall holding on to
2. All Meek has done is tweet. Drake dropped bars. Meek started it online and hasn't done anything since. Looks like a bytch to me and everyone defending me looks like a bytch
3. Funk Flex baited everyone to watch his lame show and now looking like the biggest clown with nikkas everywhere questioning whether he should keep his job
4. Drake, the ones you hate on, was the only one not to remain a fukkin keyboard warrior and actually do something hip hop

You see, you have to understand this though...the MAN HIMSELF was claiming he was a top echelon MC. It wasn't mainly his fans or other MCs. He was the one doing that.
That's what hurts the most.
It's like seeing nikkas side with they slave master because they like the meals he provides and you looking like "don't yall nikkas wanna be free !?"
"Not really "
Which rapper doesn't? Crunchy Black has verses saying he's the best. LOL!!!
You're supposed to. That's what being an MC is, saying you're the best. Kanye ran around saying he was the best, while his biggest songs were written by dudes he grew up with. The whole songs! Not hooks. But the verses. But we still supported him because he had dope beats. He was still making classic shyt. His best work, first two albums, were written for the most part, by other lesser known MC's. We let it ride, because it was Kanye. We didn't see him as some elite MC. That's how it goes when the name is bigger than the art. It's been that way forever. Drake is no exception.
Looks at name and Avi then looks at commentGet drake dikk out ya mouth b
Wells, I know every rapper does it. Most rappers think they're the greatest and yea, they're supposed to. It's been part of the game since forever. But you better be able to write your sh!t if you're going around claiming that you're the sh!t, rap wise. And nobody I know personally EVER looked at Kanye as some top tier MC. Especially after most dudes found out he had whole tracks ghostwritten for him. I like most his music but that whole Jesus Walks/Rhymefest thing finished him in my eyes, as a credible MC. He's just an artist/brand now NOT a credible MC.
