Literally everyone knew where Kendrick was going to take it, because he told us prior to NLU already lol. Actually Drake told us first now that I think about lmao.

Why did he take it there? Based on the way he was moving. His actions. You don't need to "galvanize hate" on Drake when people haven't respected how he moved for a while.

Constantly bringing up wives in rap battles.
Talking to younger girls. I honestly don't even think he's a pedo, but it's obvious even Drake heard about the public perception of him and young girls. That's why he brought it up first. He could have and should have done more to distance himself from that prior to the rap beef.

Now that's public perception.

Behind the scenes, I think he viewed himself as a pop star and a commodity to the label that is so valuable, no other artist should be allowed to disrespect him the way that Kendrick did.

I don't like that you think you can say whatever you want on a record, but your rival has to abide by rules that don't defame your character.

He thought that he could step to UMG and somehow get the label to remove the song, but once he got the word that they aren't going to, and they're going to promote it just like they would any other song for any other artist he was heated.

I feel like the blowback from the public finding out Drake successfully stopped 1 of Kendrick's disses from coming out would have been much worse for him.

This reminds me of when 50 used to say he had the power to push people's album back.

Now imagine 50 tryna pull that card at the same time he was having his falling out with Jimmy Iovine. I doubt he'd have the clout to make it happen.

Drake tried to use his success to do the same and it didn't work. It work on Push(even though he lost) worked on Meek, but not this time.

You also mentioned "FM wasn't going to be played on the radio while NLU was made to be played on the radio".

How each artist decided to approach this beef was completely up to them and the way Kendrick did, was just better.

I think FM could have been chopped up and played on the radio, but Kendrick took all the wind out that record with MTG.

Facts Drake supposedly wanted Family Matters to get pushed more while UMG try to banned Not Like Us :heh: :heh: :heh:

Drake was sending shots at Kendrick live on stage before FPS was a thing. Drake was feeling himself in 2022-23 and thought be was untouchable and Kendrick showed him what time it was.

I don’t doubt for ONE second that both camps used bots to boast their streams but Drake is literally bytching about the exact same shyt that HE himself benefited from when he battled with Meek Mill. He had the label, corporations like McDonalds, and almost the entirety of the industry in his corner. Had Will Smith (FROM Philly) showing up to his shows giving him the victory dap. Got the Grammy nominations and went on a year long victory lap.

He did the same shyt when Pusha whopped his ass. Went crying to the label and J. Prince like a B I T C H and had the original upload of Story Of Addidon erased from the internet. Ran to his Degrassi friends and shot a video so that nostalgia would get the stink of his whore of a baby mother off of him.

He truly thought he was some Mob Boss who couldn’t have his card pulled. This time he got punched in the face and for whatever reason there was nobody to go cry to. Calling out a man’s civilian wife, bragging about his contract, illegally using a dead rap legend’s voice, saying that rapping about social issues that affect the African American community was nothing more than “freeing the slaves” talk. Gleefully shouting from the top of his lungs that his opponent beat his wife. There were sooooo many different options to approaching this battle that HE said he was so ready for that he planted false stories of being a pedophile and a deadbeat father to set some diabolical plot….

Only for it ALL to come crashing down after denying a helping hand from the only artist who could help.

fukk a lawsuit, this a life long litigation with HIMSELF

nikka the masses do. It’s why Jay can drop Super Ugly and Blueprint Pt 2 and not one soul give af. It was more of, why didn’t you do this when you was going through it instead of now? Timing fckin matters and doing shyt 6 months after the fact isn’t going to do any thing to rehab your standing. Just go in the booth and make better tunes for ya head top
The masses didn’t decide this one though. Go back and look at the timeline. This battle was called the night the heart pt 6 dropped. All of sudden DJ hed and these podcasters declared the battle was done. I’m not saying the masses didn’t choose NLU was the end of the battle. I’m saying the decision that it was over was determined for the masses because after the heart pt 6 people were expecting Kendrick to respond again.

Putting out such a weird, dark track was a huge tactical mistake. Reminds me of SuperUgly. Either was weird and dark but it was triumphant and epic.

Heart Part 6 with all it's innuendo and complicated narratives, was like a People Talking, whatever else went on behind the scenes, there's a certain momentum to any battle, that you have to anticipate. The energy went out on his side as soon as Heart 6 dropped. Had he dropped a really catchy, up tempo track, that would have kept it going.
