Drake was sending shots at Kendrick live on stage before FPS was a thing. Drake was feeling himself in 2022-23 and thought be was untouchable and Kendrick showed him what time it was.

I don’t doubt for ONE second that both camps used bots to boast their streams but Drake is literally bytching about the exact same shyt that HE himself benefited from when he battled with Meek Mill. He had the label, corporations like McDonalds, and almost the entirety of the industry in his corner. Had Will Smith (FROM Philly) showing up to his shows giving him the victory dap. Got the Grammy nominations and went on a year long victory lap.

He did the same shyt when Pusha whopped his ass. Went crying to the label and J. Prince like a B I T C H and had the original upload of Story Of Addidon erased from the internet. Ran to his Degrassi friends and shot a video so that nostalgia would get the stink of his whore of a baby mother off of him.

He truly thought he was some Mob Boss who couldn’t have his card pulled. This time he got punched in the face and for whatever reason there was nobody to go cry to. Calling out a man’s civilian wife, bragging about his contract, illegally using a dead rap legend’s voice, saying that rapping about social issues that affect the African American community was nothing more than “freeing the slaves” talk. Gleefully shouting from the top of his lungs that his opponent beat his wife. There were sooooo many different options to approaching this battle that HE said he was so ready for that he planted false stories of being a pedophile and a deadbeat father to set some diabolical plot….

Only for it ALL to come crashing down after denying a helping hand from the only artist who could help.

fukk a lawsuit, this a life long litigation with HIMSELF
Again, there is what Drake did and what he is accusing the label of doing this time around. It’s one thing if it’s just a square to square rap battle. It’s a different thing when you are accusing your label of supporting your musical opposition in getting the upper hand over you. Thats why I’m pushing hard on this. We can say over and over again that Drake had the machine behind him with the other battles and he can’t cry now. It’s different when the machine is on your side right? The bigger question I’ve been trying to drill is why the machine turned on him when he needed it most? This is underlying factor of the lawsuit. It’s a question no one has been able to answer outside of saying Drake got his feelings hurt from battling with Dot. It’s too reductive and fails to look at the music business for what it is which is a business first. So why would UMG take an artist that’s been bringing them hundred of millions and have it pissed away in one weekend from a rap battle. As a company your job is to protect your investment. This did not happen and imo people need to question why

Drake going to win this lawsuit. UMG will probably settle out of court because it’s too much proof they violated laws and breached his contract. Drake will get out of his last album as part of the settlement, along with an undisclosed amount of money and then release on his own label maybe in a paternship with another group.

That next album going to break records as even his closet haters who are really fans will buy it to hear what he’s rapping about.

This is absolute fan fiction. The sad thing about a post this pathetic is it'll just float under the radar and someone will have a normal conversation with you in another thread.

When you post deranged delusional fangirl shyt like this it should be in your signature.

KoonYe said: “Slavery was a choice”

And you LOST NIKKAS already back on his dikk
bc he said Lucian is Drake’s baby daddy :what:

This is why White Supremacy laughin at nikkas.

You nikkas have no self worth and no self esteem.

Quick to turn on the Ancestors over meaningless shyt.

FUKK Aubrey GrahamCracka and KoonYe :pacspit:

To keep it a buck, its comparable to how/why women don't run the world. They so busy hating each other over nothing, could easily have gotten men out of the paint years ago if they would band together:mjcry:

As a man though, I'm thankful that shyt will never happen

Putting out such a weird, dark track was a huge tactical mistake. Reminds me of SuperUgly. Either was weird and dark but it was triumphant and erpic.

Heart Part 6 with all it's innuendo and complicated narratives, was like a People Talking, whatever else went on behind the scenes, there's a certain momentum to any battle, that you have to anticipate. The energy went out on his side as soon as Heart 6 dropped. Had he dropped a really catchy, up tempo track, that would have kept it going.
And people talking is a great song and heart part 6 is terrible.

All I got to say is the other rappers in the industry are very quiet, usually when some shyt happens everybody got an opinion....

If Drake wasn't a rapper they didn't think they need, all types of shyt would've been said already, I can't imagine any of my favorite rappers doing this.

Because people in here don’t do their research and talk nonsense. I don’t care about daps. I want to be historically accurate. This is what I’m saying you and the others walk around here feeling accomplished simply by calling someone a troll or making fun but it does nothing because it shows yall ain’t interested in a genuine convo just bad faith arguments. That’s why i always ask everyone you gonna discuss the merits of what I wrote or deflect with ad hominem attacks.

If anything this discussion really holds a mirror to what’s happening. Everyone would rather be distracted by this battle when I’ve been saying look at what’s been happening with these labels firing people and making adjustments because the music industry has to change. People are so simple minded they only look at music as just music when there is so much stuff that goes on behind the music but they only want the salacious stuff.

In hard economic times, companies do a lot of M&As and now contracts and incentives have to be discussed. There is a projection that we will only have three major labels going forward in the future. That is direcly or indirectly tied to this beef. Wait till you hear how Taylor Swift is potentially involved in this.
Drake is trying to save face by using the industry shift cover. Drake is the most popular rapper of the decade. He had no problem using the fanbase and eyeballs from this battle and use UMG money to make a whole rollout music video and studio time to defame kendrick and to call him a woman beater who was cuckholded. Knowing millions would be watching. If you’re in this deep and you know that moves are being made, then why would you jump out the window with no parachute? Drake was not contractually obligated(to my knowledge) to take the rap beef beyond lyrical prowess. The music industry dying and his deal being renegotiated is a convenient cover. Whether the UMG power play against Drake is true or not, it was UMG money he used to diss other rapped both sublimally(and recently naming names) for YEARS. This all comes down to Drake playing his cards wrong. It’s not about defending UMG, corporations or what have you. It’s about playing the “artist Vs industry” card, when that trap card has backfired on you finally. Part of his schtick was being machebelian and making “boss moves” in relation to lower artist on the totem pole, and those crackers reminded him of who he is. Going the legal route agaidnt kendrick when Drake willingly played the game is corny. :manny:

I think these are fair points. Where I give pushback is the timing. People say he went to the label to remove the song but when did this happen? I remember being very suspicious of how the beef ended too. NLU comes out on the 4th and heart pt 6 comes out on the 5th. Immediately, social media had declared the beef was over. You had people from TDE coming out declaring the beef is done. The narrative quickly became Drake sounds defeated and it’s done. I always said wait, who decided this? Did Dot decide? Did Drake decide? Then it became a question of UMG staying quiet while their golden boy was being dragged. Why did they stay quiet this whole time when their biggest money maker would end up in a situation as untenable as this?

The more I look the more I end up with questions. None of these hip hop journalist seem to know what’s going on or care to deep dive to the point the only people we are getting information from are compromised parties from both camps and podcasters reshuffling the same narratives they see on the internet
I dunno. just don’t think it’s that deep. I think it was just a rap battle :yeshrug:

No you don’t know what you’re talking about. Artists aren’t independent the way that you think. Do some homework then get back to me
:mjlol: So educate me breh. Don’t refute my point by telling me to go do homework breh. I’ve already told you my thoughts on it. And what I’m telling you are facts. Kendrick is independent but licenses his music to interscope. Those are facts. Interscope(UMG) can’t stop him from releasing music

If I was on Kendricks team, and they drop Not Like Us, and then Drake drops Heart Part 6, I would call it done too, unless he comes back, because you can see where it's going. The Heart Part 6 sounded like Jay on Hot 97.

and I liked Push Ups and Family Matters better than anything, I don't even really listen to Kendrick at all. Drake got out played. He lost straight up on merit.
