Craziness, if Pac and Big was around shyt wouldn't have been watered down mainstream wise to even allow Drake to happen. Pac would be running shyt to this day, he would be in a higher spot than Jay Z. Jay Z is older than Pac isn't he? And he still sold more than Drake and them.

Jay Z was way more tame than 2Pac and this progression of music was gunna happen no matter what, Pac would be alive and the Kanye-era would still happen and make alot of artists come out with hip hop music that wasn't mostly gangster rap

you think pac would be out here is suits and doing all these business deals like Jay has been doing? nah

Shyne actually had the talent to exist in that era, he easily could have still made it, no-one could say Shyne was too soft for that era. Even Saigon can vouch for Po back in the day, and he did let the shot off in the club, but that's far from the only thing he done. Shyne's never been perceived as soft like that, at all.

so so def was around in those days..

nikkas like bush babees had hits...nikkas like boogie monsters were rapping about protons and electrons

skee lo was rapping about being taller..

there was a place for everything...big and pac werent the only rappers out at the time

Puff changed the overall lane of hip hop in the mainstream...and biggie wouldve been right there with him in a shiny suit

That's the point, Pac and Big being here wouldn't allow a Drake to enter on that level at all. Absolutely no, Pac would be the biggest rapper and he would be ruling shyt. Big would be there too. Pac was in suits all the time and was highly intelligent and could do what he wanted. Don't forget Pac died at a young age, he was younger than Jay and was more poppin than Jay when the 2 were alive. Also this isn't about gangsta or non gangsta rap, this is about acceptance of a fake fraudulent p*ssy without substance, if you take it to the 80's or the 90's Drake would be laughed out the building, or thrown out of it.

Drake would be PM'd Dawn'd, and PM Dawn was better than Drake too.

Drake has basically been 1 of the factors that make p*ssy or soft dudes feel comfortable. You can be fake now, and soft as hell and a bytch standing for nothing and it's all good.

I remember what Pac said about the rappers who were gonna come after him who would have no morality to them. "Hold them accountable for what they're saying"

Especially if you not really saying shyt.

The artists on SO SO Def wasn't the most successful rapper/rappers though, also they were better than Drake too. Biggie actually had talent though, on a significantly high MC and writing ability. And of course songmaking.

That's exactly what's done, people don't wanna deal with the substance of what he said and instead try to put a label on someone, like irrelevant or hater lol. It's the same shyt all the time lol, at the end of the day Shyne is speaking for a lot of people and he has a right to say his opinion on whatever.
He does have a right to an opinion, but if his career was popping he would try to get a feature. Let's not front.

Difference between all these guys and Aubrey is these guys had legitimate skills and made great music all the time...no excuses. All you ever hear about Aubrey is that he really can rap, he really does have skills, etc. if he does, then why don't he ever show it? Those guys always showed and proved...no matter what style they had they showed and proved.

Drake is basically a Devil In A Dress...

A soft/fake/deceptive dude but very poisonous and destructive.
