Dont talk to me about "filler" either.

80% of artists can't do what Drake did here. Even songs you don't *LOVE* are better than what most artists drop as b-sides. Thats truly incredible.

Tell me that Big Sean or J Cole or even kanye doesn't have outright bullshyt on the albums then yall calling it classics. DONT DO THAT

First half of the album is good. Want like the song w/ Travis Scott and the intro. That being said I probably weighs only revisit a few songs out of 21. I knew it was going to be formulaic big production boring shyt

Y'all are being way too harsh in here. Drake is like 15 years & 11 Albums deep in the game. Dude is almost 35 & y'all are expecting him to make inspired albums at this stage of his career when no one else does.

He doesn't have to push himself hard either when the competition in this era is so damn weak he's been able to remain on top for this long.

Nas and Jay Z are 30 years into their careers and get critiqued and criticized for every song, album, verse they do…. Drake gon take this criticism

This is true.
Also this is like Drake’s 12th project since being mainstream

No artist is making their best collection of music at that point in there career, especially not someone as accomplished and rich as Drake

Now, I’ve only listened to the album once but the problem seems to be it’s not better than Scorpion or any of the music he’s released since then

So when your new stuff doesn’t sound better than what everyone has been listening too already there’s going to be a let down

Now, compare that to Cole where most people weren’t feeling 4YEO and KOD, The off-season sounds like a return to form of some sort when really it’s just better than your last

Same with 4:44 and MCHG

Those projects are not touching peak Cole or Jay but it’s all about expectations and Drakes are high and he didn’t deliver

You're trying way too hard to defend this album bruh.

I haven't heard anyone flat out call it some shyt but I have heard people say that it's great and that's a bit of a stretch to me.

I don't love it but I don't hate it either. It's a Drake album. He's par for the course when it comes to surface level content. It ain't good but it ain't bad.

Skimming through this, I feel that Drake has made this album many times before. At this point in his career he aint going to take any risks or challenge himself creatively.

It’s not bad…there’s songs that I liked and I was surprised to see he had a Cudi feature which was cool but I thought Donda was the better album even with its flaws.

Ye took creative risks, tried new ideas, some worked some didn’t but it was more interesting.

Drake recycled ideas and went with a formula that’s automated that’s proven to work. If it’s not broken don’t fix it.

That’s the difference I see between both albums.
