Yeah, alot of artist try but no one makes music like drake

saying he needs to something different is always a silly criticism in music. There are a million artist. If you want something different go listen to someone else

I will say 1 hour and 30 minutes too long of an album for anyone in the streaming era but Drake has said he will never make short albums

I also think the whole “the album is classic”discussion is exclusively reserved for rap message boards. No one really discusses albums like that anymore because albums don’t matter anymore

To you*. My group chat and multiple groups I'm in discuss albums all the time. Before I got clipped from Twitter we also discussed albums. Hell there were mad people making their album of the year list :yeshrug:

100%. The Off-Season was made by one of Drake's contemporaries, someone a year older than him, and it could very well be the best album they ever made. King's Disease II was made by a man turning 48 in two weeks, and it's one of the best albums of the year. Kendrick will be 34 when his next project comes out, and considering his track record, it could be another great album.

We're finally seeing rappers challenge aging and the idea that you can only make your best music when you're young and hungry. We've gotten a lot of great projects in the last couple years from older rappers. Hell, even Eminem proved a few years ago that he could make a solid album that's shorter, more focused, and consistent. What's Drake’s excuse?

Thjs is funny

if CLB is the same ole drake then The off-season is the same ole Cole

Cole isn’t doing anything new on there. He isn’t experimenting with sounds or whatever you call it

And bringing up KD2 is a joke. Only Nas stans are listening to that album and care about it

If only Drake stans enjoy CLB then that’s no different than everything Nas has done post God’s son

Drake has dominated music for an entire decade +.

No artist is going to make something that sounds totally new when you’ve heard hundreds of verses and songs for over a decade.
