Maybe it’s just me but I don’t really want Drake to switch up the production. Sure experiment with a couple songs here and there but…I came to Drake for this type of music lol

No one else in the rap game is making music with this type of production AND great rapping like Drake does. It fills a void that a lotta artists try to replicate but it just doesn’t sound as good
:yeshrug:
Yeah, alot of artist try but no one makes music like drake

saying he needs to something different is always a silly criticism in music. There are a million artist. If you want something different go listen to someone else

I will say 1 hour and 30 minutes too long of an album for anyone in the streaming era but Drake has said he will never make short albums

I also think the whole “the album is classic”discussion is exclusively reserved for rap message boards. No one really discusses albums like that anymore because albums don’t matter anymore

100%. The Off-Season was made by one of Drake's contemporaries, someone a year older than him, and it could very well be the best album they ever made. King's Disease II was made by a man turning 48 in two weeks, and it's one of the best albums of the year. Kendrick will be 34 when his next project comes out, and considering his track record, it could be another great album.

We're finally seeing rappers challenge aging and the idea that you can only make your best music when you're young and hungry. We've gotten a lot of great projects in the last couple years from older rappers. Hell, even Eminem proved a few years ago that he could make a solid album that's shorter, more focused, and consistent. What's Drake’s excuse?

His excuse is that no matter how much criticism he gets, his fan base, the media, and blog sites(Brady, Trae, DJ Ak, ESPN, and the NBA for example) are gonna hype up and eat up whatever he produces no matter how good it is. I've yet to get a solid grasp if the social media reactions but no matter what critics say as long as the numbers are fantastic none of what we say matters. This album is gonna dominate the fall and there's nothing any of us can do about it :manny:
