Oh sure, give a guy who wants to destroy the planet a senzu bean to regain full strength just because you "thought" your son who never was much of a fighter let alone a killer could handle it. What exactly is your fukking point? Even when Picollo said Goku was wrong about Gohan, Goku was ready to step back in and takeover the fight. And Vegeta did the same thing against Cell when he let him absorb 18... nobody is calling Vegeta an idiot. Still, these bad decisions aren't what we are talking about when we say Goku is being written like he's mentally retarded. He freaking forgot that Gohan was his son for peaks sake. That's just one example in one episode of Goku showing a level of stupidity he didn't show in Z.

Now it takes literal gods years to find the Super Dragonballs to make anything happen and even then you might get your ass erased at anytime. Herein lies a conflict amongst a lot of people who watch Super from Z. A lot of people, especially those that didn't really fukk with Dragonball, haven't acclimated to the tone
Goku was never this dumb in Z but he was definitely this dumb in Dragonball. Super is shaping up to be more Db than Z so that's the Goku we got bruh
